He is experienced in numerous technical areas and has a broad range of experience in different industries: software, consulting, market research, legal and staffing. Nelson has held CIO roles in the past, across different verticals, with varying challenges.
Nelson has a history of successfully implementing complex and high profile initiatives, building teams, consensus and customer-centric behavior, establishing strong relationships between IT and the business. He has led digital transformations and been involved in industry think tanks to improve customer experience while creating competitive advantage and improved margins.
Nelson is a leader who empowers and challenges people to use technology to drive business strategy. As Chief Information Officer at Market Probe he created an industry-leading, highly integrated system that completely automated the process from (bank) teller interaction, to statistical sampling, to survey data-collection, to real-time reporting, behavior-driving dashboards and management follow-up. This provided a competitive advantage that saw Market Probe land numerous Fortune 100 clients.
He is passionate about learning, teaching, innovation and collaboration. He has taught in the MBA program at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and was an active member of SIM (Society of Information Management) in Wisconsin where he served as president before moving to NC. In 2013, he was named SIM Wisconsin IT Executive of the Year (Corporate Category). An early participant in the legal industry think tank, CLOC, where a select few law firm CIO’s worked with Legal Operations executives at large corporate companies that consumed their services, to find ways to improve efficiency and margins.
Mr. Still is VP of IT at Form Technologies, a global manufacturing company with 30 plants around the world. Prior to that, he was an executive at Manpower, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek (now Husch Blackwell), Market Probe and Synovate. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UNISA (University of South Africa) and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. Born in Scotland, raised in South Africa and now living in Charlotte, NC.
