Roota Almeida is the Head of Security Governance at Amazon Stores where she leads the Security, Governance and Risk Management area to drive transformative changes and enhance information security program effectiveness. With over 15 years of experience in establishing and maintaining global security strategies, architectures, standards, and compliance, Roota is a recognized industry thought leader. Prior to Amazon, Roota has served as a CISO for Covanta and then for Delta Dental of NJ and CT and held security leadership positions at Merck and Pfizer. She serves on the Board of Advisors at several organizations, sits as a governing body chair, is an SC Magazine awards judge and also moonlights as a Faculty.
