Tim Stanley

Tim founded and is the President/CEO of Tekexecs, Innovatects and CXOCo – a complementary set of business strategy, innovation, talent, and technology focused advisory services and equity investment for select growth companies.  He is also actively involved in several public and private company board of directors and advisory roles, and as an angel and venture capital investor in a variety of innovative companies.  Tim is also an Adjunct Professor at the Merage School of Business at UCI – where he created and co-teaches EDGE a Capstone MBA/Exec MBA course focused on globalization, innovation & technology as strategic catalysts for business transformation.  He has also been active in launching and leading the Center for Digital Transformation (CDT) at the University of California Irvine (UCI) which brings industry leading CXOs, innovative startups and renowned academic experts together to explore the strategies, opportunities and challenges facing business leaders in a more technology dependent and digitally driven world. Tim was named Information Week’s “Chief of the Year” for his unique Innovation, Business and IT roles and achievements. He has also been recognized as one of InfoWorld’s “Top 25 CTOs,” Interactive Week’s “Top 25 Unsung Heroes of the Internet”, received CIO’s “100 Innovators Award” and CIO Insight’s “Partners in Alignment” award for his successful linkage of business strategy and technology. Tim has also received multiple the “CIO 100” awards; Computerworld’s “Best Places to Work in IT” for nine consecutive years; and the American Business Awards “Best MIS & IT Organization”. He holds an MBA in International Business and Technology Management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of Management and Arizona State University, and a BS degree in Engineering from the University of Washington. He is also an Alumni of the AACSB ‘Bridge’ program to prepare executives for academia, and other professional and executive education programs at Stanford, MIT and Babson. Tim has lived, worked and traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia throughout his career, and after the HMG Summit will be embarking on another extended trip to Europe, the middle east and Asia to close out 2014 and prepare and share his observations and insights for 2015.
