When we shifted to a work-from-anywhere model in March 2020, many of us had to adapt to new ways of working. We had to carve out spaces for getting our work done. We also adapted to when we got our work done along with how work was conducted.
Even though employees generally adapted well to the work-from-anywhere model, the reduction in personal interactions between employees in remote settings may well have hampered our ability to collaborate and innovate. For instance, a study conducted by WeWork reveals that working from home has resulted in a decline in the ability for employees to meet and brainstorm with one another by as much as 15%. Meanwhile, the ability for employees to maintain social relationships with one another in the remote workplace declined by an average of 17%.
