Ken Piddington

Mr. Piddington is an experienced business leader and technology strategist with more than 15 years of transformation leadership experience gained as CIO and executive advisor for Fortune 500 companies in North America and Europe.  Mr. Piddington uses his extensive experience in people leadership, business operations and technology innovation to partner with CIOs, CXOs and their leadership teams to help them develop effective plans and strategies to achieve meaningful results in their respective businesses.

Mr. Piddington was the CIO at Global Partners LP, a Fortune 500 midstream logistics and energy products marketing company, where he was responsible for leading, developing and implementing the business technology strategy during four years of unprecedented growth where the company revenues grew from $6 billion to $20 billion.  This included the successful integration of multiple acquisitions and the implementation of supply chain technologies necessary to support dramatic geographic and line of business expansion.

His successful track record as a business leader and technology strategist includes serving as Partner at Lyland Associates, Inc. where he managed the business technology division of the company’s energy practice.  In this role he served as a technology advisor and led custom development and application implementation projects for its Fortune 500 clients.  This included leading the development and implementation of an internally built Energy Trading and Risk Management System (ETRM) for a client.  This followed his success as Director of Product Development at Triple Point Technologies for their flagship product Tempest XL.

Ken is recognized as an industry thought leader, is a regular speaker at business and association conferences, and has been featured in multiple media publications.  He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Sage School in Massachusetts and on the Leadership Board for the MIT CIO Leadership Institute.  He has also served as a mentor in the CIO Executive Council’s Pathways program.
