Veena Dandapani is a transformational business and technology leader with 20+ years of experience leading global growth initiatives, product development, and partnerships for publicly listed and privately held financial services, consumer products, and healthcare companies. Guided by her principle that customer-centric products powered by technology deliver business value, she has led several transformative initiatives driving growth at scale throughout her career. Veena currently serves as SVP Global Head of Products at Western Union, leading a product portfolio across digital, retail, payments, and professional services, serving 200 countries. Veena is responsible for product strategy, design, development, and launch across digital-retail channels. Before Western Union, she has held leadership roles across multiple industries, including Vice President, IT Strategy, and Portfolio at Catholic Health Initiatives, where she focused on short and long-term IT strategy and investments. She has also served as Vice President, Digital and Ecommerce at Otter Box, a consumer electronics accessory company, building and growing the e-commerce division for the Asia Pacific region. Veena is an entrepreneur at heart with a passion for creating business value from the ground up. Her passion for customer-centricity comes from serving customers from the front line herself. In 2009, she launched, operated, and managed her retail and eCommerce business in New York City that catered to young clientele and provided interactive specialty merchandise and an educational play environment for children. Veena holds a master’s degree in computer science from Western Michigan University, a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Madras University, and a Senior Executive Leadership Certification from Stanford University.
