Visionary Leadership: Driving a Strategic and Secure Digital Agenda
Inflationary pressures and other macro-economic challenges are creating headwinds for technology executives and fellow members of the C-suite to execute on and achieve strategic goals through 2023. The fast-changing socio-economic landscape is prompting technology executives to become more creative than ever in a cost-conscious environment and to draw upon authentic and inclusive leadership skills to inspire their teams. Meanwhile, tech leaders will need to remain laser focused on new ransomware, phishing and crypto mining attacks amidst budgetary pressures.
Here are the four prevailing leadership and technology trends that HMG Strategy will be focusing on throughout its 2023 Executive Leadership Summit Series:
- Innovation & Invention to Spur Revenue Growth
- Fostering World-Class Collaboration and Teaming
- Harnessing Advanced Technology to Drive Cost Reduction
- Securing a Global Digital Agenda
Global economic challenges are creating unique opportunities for business technology executives to foster a collaborative culture, embrace fresh innovative approaches, and develop strong partnerships to leverage hot technologies such as AI, ChatGPT, cloud platforms and cyber technologies to securely move the needle for the business and win in tumultuous times.

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve, we find ourselves increasingly reliant on AI-powered tools like ChatGPT to interact with the world around us. While these tools can be incredibly helpful, they also raise important ethical questions about how we design and use AI systems.
In this session, we will delve into the ethics of ChatGPT and explore the challenges of creating AI systems that are both effective and responsible. We will discuss issues such as bias in training data, the potential for harm caused by AI-generated content, and the need for transparency and accountability in AI decision-making.
We will also explore ways to address these challenges, including strategies for improving data quality, creating ethical guidelines for AI development, and designing systems that prioritize user safety and well-being. By examining the ethics of ChatGPT and other AI systems, we can work towards creating a more responsible and equitable future for AI technology.

Continually works to enhance Central Florida’s reputation as a community of outstanding, visionary technology leaders. Gives back to our region by creating new opportunities for others through important mentoring, scholarships, financial contributions and community involvement. Leverages the talents and experiences of diverse IT contemporaries, business executives, technology experts and community leaders. Helps to develop members’ careers and the next generation of IT leaders by continually increasing knowledge, industry visibility and networking among peers who become advisors, confidantes and friends. Is the voice of Central Florida’s IT community on critical issues. SIM Central Florida members meet monthly – learning from presentations and dialogues with industry leaders, top practitioners and nationally recognized experts in information systems and management practices. Before, during and after each presentation, chapter members have the opportunity to discuss important issues and concerns with guest speakers and colleagues from industry and government. History In 1997, a group of prominent CIOs in the Central Florida area decided to establish a non-competitive environment where CIOs could collaboratively share in knowledge and work experiences. The founding fathers included Andy Wing, Rick Sickles and Ron Maciejewski. Wing became the group’s President and initiated the recruitment process – encouraging Hugh Moore, Jim Dekle and Garrett Grainger to join as founding members to lead the new group, which was named the Central Florida CIO Council. Several years later, another member of the Council, Dave Razmussen, challenged the group to convert to an affiliate chapter of the Society for Information Management (SIM) – a watershed decision in our growth. The organization officially became a SIM chapter in 2001.
