Today, every company is a technology company. As a result, CEOs fully expect technology executives to come armed with fresh ideas for leveraging technology to deliver new waves of business value and drive future growth for their companies.
CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and other C-suite technology executives play a crucial role in placing their organizations on the fast track to groundbreaking transformation. But success doesn’t occur in a vacuum – those executives who are able to summon courageous leadership, think differently and instill a passion within their teams are able to lead, reimagine and reinvent their companies and deliver winning business formulas that can provide a competitive edge.

The History
Since the inception of its Transformational CIO Awards in 2012, HMG Strategy has been recognizing the industry’s premier technology executives who are making a difference in their organizations through the industry’s most distinguished and recognizable awards program. In 2019, HMG Strategy introduced the Technology Executives to Watch Awards to recognize the top-performing Chief Information Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, Senior Technology Leaders, Venture Capitalists and Search Executives who have demonstrated unparalleled leadership in areas such as Innovation, Business Transformation and Digital Disruption.
In 2020, we are extending our recognition program to honor exemplary technology leaders who are delivering exceptional value to their organizations: The HMG Strategy 2020 Global Technology Executives Who Matter Awards.
The Criteria
These annual awards recognize the top-performing Chief Information Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, Venture Capitalists, Search Industry Executives and other Senior Technology Leaders who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the following areas: Innovation; Business Transformation; Courageous Leadership; Talent Development and Digital Disruption.
The awards also recognize legendary technology leaders with two new award distinctions: the Elite Alumni and Lifetime Achievement awards.
The Elite Alumni award will showcase the courageous leadership and commitment to innovation and business transformation that earns technology executives perennial acknowledgment. Recipients in the Elite Alumni category join an exclusive list of premier global technology leaders who have been recognized by HMG Strategy in the past. The program honors those top IT leaders who have delivered unparalleled value to their organizations in innovation, business transformation, courageous leadership, digital disruption and talent development.
Meanwhile, the Lifetime Achievement award recognizes those leaders who have led a long and distinguished career. Recipients in this category have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the technology industry in various positions and exhibited excellence throughout the duration of their career.
The Details
Nominations are open and are being accepted on a rolling basis. Nominations must be received at least 21 days prior to the regional summit of choice to be considered for recognition. To see HMG Strategy’s full calendar of events for 2020, click here.
